Some people have been having problems getting into the Mumble server.  This is due to an update that happened a week or so ago.  The newest version is in the downloads section.  Here's the post from the Mumble Blog....

Due to an expiring certificate no Mumble 1.2.2 or newer released before today (15.01.2012) will work on the Windows Platform after 15 January 2012 11:36:47 GMT. If such an outdated Mumble is launched after that date the error message “A referral was returned by the server” will be displayed by Windows and Mumble will not start.
 
You can get the fixed Mumble 1.2.3a stable installer from:
 http://sourceforge.net/projects/mumble/files/Mumble/1.2.3a/mumble-1.2.3a.msi/download (uninstall 1.2.3 stable first).
 An updated installer for the snapshot version is available from: http://mumble.info/snapshot/mumble-1.2.3-271-gca8b25c.msi

On a side note, the NEGamers.com Mumble server has been upgraded to 35 slots for WoW raiding.  You can find the server by searching for NEGamers.com in the server list, or VOICE-NY1.BRANZONE.COM (port 64739).

I'm glad I'm not the only one having this FRUSTRATING problem....

We are aware that some Battlefield 3 players are experiencing connection issues with PunkBuster enabled servers.
 
This problem is limited to a small subset of players on PC and will not impact players on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
 
We are actively looking into the specifics of this issue and we are confident that we will have a permanent solution in place shortly.
 
In the meantime, if your connectivity has been affected, we recommend that in the interim you join servers that are not running PunkBuster. There is a filter setting for this in the multiplayer server browser.
